I Dreamed I Was Looking At God’s Glory.

Prayer For You

In Jesus’ Name, Daddy, I pray for that one reading this post now that you will open their eyes, ears and hearts. So that they may see, hear and understand everything I would say to them. I pray, Holy Spirit, please guide me as I relay this message to them. Amen.

The Dream, My Analysis and It's Interpretation

Last week, I had an extraordinary dream, an experience so vivid that I couldn't initially discern it from reality. In the dream, I lay in my bed, my room cloaked in darkness, an unusual choice for me, as I usually sleep with the lights on. It seemed like I had awakened in the middle of the night.

My eyes opened, confirming the darkness around me. I was lying in bed as I typically would. Waking up in the middle of the night wasn't unusual for me, but something was different this time. As I was about to close my eyes and return to sleep, I noticed a peculiar phenomenon. Instead of the usual pitch-black darkness when we close our eyes in a dimly lit room, my vision was flooded with an intense, gentle light that covered my entire field of view. Although the light was intense, it didn't hurt my eyes.

This unexpected experience left me bewildered and slightly frightened. Closing my eyes once more, I expected the darkness to return, but the brilliant light persisted. I even tried squeezing my eyes tightly shut, hoping to bring back the darkness, but to no avail. The light remained, unyielding. It wasn't until I fully woke up that I realized it was just a dream.

For the past week, I've been contemplating the significance of this dream. I wanted to seek my mother's guidance, as she's my go-to for dream interpretations, but I struggled to find the words to describe it. The dream didn't follow a linear sequence of events, making it difficult to explain.

Recently, as I've been reading the Book of Isaiah, I stumbled upon a verse from Isaiah 32:3 that caught my attention: "Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen" (Isaiah 32:3). This verse provided some much-needed clarity, suggesting that I might be glimpsing into the spiritual realm. My spiritual eyes were open, but I remained curious about what exactly I was witnessing.

This curiosity persisted until a revelation dawned on me two days ago. I couldn't help but wonder, "What if I was looking at God, and God was communicating with me?" The Bible describes God as light, which resonated with my dream. Check out this article filled with verses that reinforce this.

I even came across a video by Apostle Joshua Selman linked below, who explained that God communicates through light, which individuals interpret into words they can comprehend. This communication is not bound by age, language, or vocabulary development.

This insight seemed to clarify the dream's meaning, but it didn't end there. The Holy Spirit had more to reveal. It's said that our gifts are not just for ourselves but to edify and encourage the church. Although I felt content with my interpretation, the Holy Spirit had other plans.

Yesterday, the Holy Spirit woke me up to read my Bible. Now, he doesn’t actively wake me up. Like I am waking up by his grace and strength, Amen, but he has never actively called me to wake me before. But yesterday, when I would typically wake up to do my bible study, I heard my alarm ringing, but I didn’t get up. I believe I have become immune to that alarm; I need to change it, haha.

I heard His soft and gentle voice call me, ‘Babygirl’, that’s what he calls me. Immediately, I jumped up from bed, haha. I was like, “Yes, Lord! I am up!” I was silently excited that he called me, haha. I got up and eventually began my bible study.

During my Bible study, I typically engage deeply with each verse, jotting down thoughts and pondering anything that perplexes me. At one point, I closed my eyes in thought, and the dream resurfaced. I quickly brushed it aside to stay focused on my study.

After my bible study, it was time for my prayer. I like to set an hour to spend with the Lord in prayer. I don’t always exhaust the whole hour, though I aim to. But that day, I was too tired to pray. I was sleepy and lazy. But I pushed myself, and thank God I did.

While praying, something remarkable occurred. The Holy Spirit directed my attention back to the dream. This time, I finally grasped its interpretation and understood why He had brought it to my attention during my Bible study and prayer.

The dream was a revelation that I had been looking directly at God and communicating with Him. It illustrated what transpires in the spiritual realm when believers, having surrendered their lives to Christ, enter God's presence. They gaze upon the Glory of God, and His radiance shines upon them, transforming them, as beautifully expressed in 2 Corinthians 3:16-18:

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s Glory, are being transformed into his image and ever-increasing Glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. - 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

This revelation was further reinforced by a video from YouTube evangelist David Diga Hernandez, who discussed God's Glory.

Encouragement For When You Pray

When you pray to God, close your eyes to communicate with God (now you don’t have to, but I believe closing your eyes eliminates distractions); physically, it does not look like anything is happening. And if you are a bit spiritually sensitive, you might feel the Lord’s presence (which you don’t have to). But do you know that you standing directly before God?

The way I was face to face with the great light is precisely what happens to all praying to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Bible says Jesus has come and made it so that we are children of God. So imagine you are before the Kings of kings when you pray.

Immediately after this revelation, I became excited about my prayer, and my tiredness left my body. I began to tell God everything I had read about him that I love.

Remember, prayer is not a mere recitation but a heartfelt conversation with God. It's an opportunity to stand before Him, with His Glory shining upon us. Thank him that you have this kind of access to him. Thank him for breaking the barrier that was there before Christ died for us.

The more time we spend in God's presence, the more incredible things happen to us. If you're unfamiliar with this concept, I encourage you to explore the transformative power of being in God's presence. For those who already understand, please share your insights and relevant Bible verses in the comments to assist those who are on their journey of discovery. Thank you for reading, and may God bless you abundantly. Until next time, from God's Babygirl, sending kisses and love your way. Goodbye!
